Shake is closed under the state mandated closure of non-essential businesses. We would obviously prefer to be open but we support the Stay at Home policy as an important means of keeping the community safe. We originally hoped to be closed for just 2 weeks but it is apparent that this crisis will go on for at least several more weeks, if not months.

We will absolutely re-open when the virus is under control.

Keep an eye out for future posts about ways to continue to support us by shopping from home!

Christmas and New Years have past and we are all settling into Winter. For us at Shake it is a time for Spring prep – we are off to lots of design trade shows to meet with makers, planning out our Spring look.

Aesthetics include everything from minimalist, and neutrals to neons and brights! Look for new letterpress greeting cards, small batch jams, larger plants, woven baskets, colorful mixed media jewelry, floral dresses, wide legged pants, and lots of new candles! Excited for color palettes in the coral, peachy, golden, and ivory range! (Thinking about repainting our back wall in Living Coral, the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year!)

Kickstart your Holidays! Stop by Shake (or any participating shop) and pick up your Map Postcard for a fun evening of strolling, nibbling and shopping! Each store will have food/drink and lots of holiday cheer! We will be sampling (and selling) locally made chocolates from Seacoast Sweets and Jojo’s Raw Kitchen!

Join us for a delicious NOURISH YOUR SOUL Juice Tasting at Shake!

 Saturday November 16th from 1-3pm

Nourish Your Soul will be sampling juices all afternoon in the shop! They are a Boston-based juice company founded by Susan Cabana in 2012. With a variety of juices, smoothies, toasts, sweets and more, Cabana uses high-quality ingredients to bring people optimal health and happiness one sip, one bite and one choice at a time.

Local knitter (and Shaker!) Deanna DeRouchey will be in the shop showcasing her handmade knit pompom hats, scarves and throws! We have carried her hats for years and they are always one of our best sellers! Stop by and say hi!

Join us for a tea tasting with Margaret Gay, owner of NH based 27teas, a loose-leaf tea company that donates 10% of its profits to sustainable clean water and sanitation solutions around the world. She will be sampling a range of black and green teas from her fall collection! It’s a great opportunity to chat about small biz start-ups, projects that “give-back” and all things tea! She will also have tea packs for sale so you can help support her mission!

Soluna Garden Farm is a one acre certified organic farm in Winchester, Massachusetts that specializes in herbs and flowers! They hand-blend their own line of small batch herb, spice and tea blends and will be popping up at Shake on Saturday October 19th from 1-4pm!

They will be offering samples of 2 of their delicious and nourishing seasonal favorites: Ruby Rose herbal tea and Pumpkin Spice Golden Milk latte.

You can make these tasty treats at home using Soluna’s blends, which will be available to purchase at Shake during the Pop Up or anytime at their permanent location at the nearby Boston Public Market.

Join us Saturday October 5th from 1-3pm for a Caramel Tasting Pop-Up with local maker, McCrea’s Candies. We will be sampling flavors including Black Lava Sea Salt, Single Malt Scotch, Vanilla and Tapped Maple! Stop by for a free taste and maybe even pick up a box to take home!

We spent the early part of 2019 re-doing our displays, re-finishing our wood floors, painting walls, snazzing up everything! Spring deliveries have started rolling in!

We’ve teamed up with the League of Women Voters to host a VOTER REGISTRATION at Shake! If you are a US citizen and live anywhere in Massachusetts, please stop by to register! No documents needed but you will need to know your license # or the last 4 digits of your social security # to fill out the application. Plus there will be Snacks!

The League is non-partisan and neither supports or opposes any candidates.

You can register with any party you choose or simply stop by to say Hello and Pledge to Vote!
